The later engraving of a shipping scene, dated 1792, is probably Norwegian and executed by one of the Kohler family as the foot is signed "AK". The glass is also marked "N#11", so possibly one of a set.The form of this glass would suggest an earlier date but as commonly found with Scandinavian glass the earlier styles continued to be made there long after they were discontinued in Britain. This goblet is in the baluster style but with a type of teared knop that will not be found on English examples. The foot is domed and folded.
