Most 18th century Norwegian glass is somewhat similar in style to English and German glass of the period due to the use of imported glass blowers from those countries - the English flavour being provided by the glass blowers that had been poached from north east of England in an attempt to revive the flagging Norwegian glass production.This example is in the baluster style with gadrooning to the base of the bowl.
